At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups.The maximum age is 75. A Young Driver fee will apply to drivers between 21 and 24 years. The Young Driver fee is 10.00 USD per day per driver.

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence. Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.

Avis El Salvador accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, Mastercard, Visa. Credit card number, expiration date, and customers phone number required for SUV and Vans. An additional charge card hold will apply. Depending on car group the hold will range between 1,200.00 USD to 2,500.00 USD.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance. Information not available at this time, please check at time of rental. Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Cars can be returned to other Avis locations within this country based on car availability. Vehicles are not available for one way rentals outside this country.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional, except it is MANDATORY for renters under 25 years of age. Purchase of CDW reduces renters financial responsibility (NWE) in case of damage to the Avis vehicle from accidents to an amount between 1,200.00 USD and 2,500.00 USD depending on car group rented. This coverage does not include loss of license plates, tow service, fines and loss of keys. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage. If CDW is declined, the renter is fully responsible for the full value of the Avis vehicle, in addition to stolen accessories, repairs and loss of use during repairs. An additional credit card hold will apply. Theft Protection (TP) is included in the CDW. Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
